Acton Discovery Museum

The PTO is thrilled to be able to bring the excitement and education from field trips directly to the school. Once again teaming up with the Acton Discovery Museum, 2nd graders were recently treated to a traveling workshop “Physical Changes of Matter.”

During this interactive workshop, students worked together to investigate the physical properties of solids, liquids, and gases. Using liquid nitrogen and dry ice, students were able to witness such amazing feats like bananas being used as hammers.

These workshops are provided in-school to our students with funding from the PTO. We can only offer these educational and engaging programs with the support of our families and the Spring Street community. Working together, we will continue to provide these unique opportunities for our students which help to cultivate a love of learning from an early age.
